SNOW SCULPTURE CONTEST
It's almost time for another exciting ten days of the best snow fun in Newfoundland and Labrador---Corner Brook Winter Carnival 2012! And part of the fun with snow is using it to be creative...as in the Carnival Snow Sculpturing Contest.
In addition to being recognized as the best snow sculptors in Corner Brook you win cash prizes for the top three residential sculptures.
Also, you get a nice plaque to show off to your family and friends.
Leif and his carnival companions are also issuing a challenge to all K-12 schools and post-secondary schools in Corner Brook to show their winter spirit and transform their school yards into a Winter Wonderland. Build snow sculptures of your school mascot, favorite animals, cartoon characters, or even your favorite teacher! All K-12 schools that register a snow sculpture will be entered into a draw for a cash prize. Prize available for the best post-secondary school snow sculpture, too.
All residential, K-12 schools and post-secondary school sculptures must register with Genevieve Barrett at 634-0371 or email: genevieve.bb@hotmail.com as sculptures are completed so a picture can be taken of your creation. In case of inclement weather, please take your own photos and e-mail to Genevieve.
