8 am to 10 am - Breakfast at the Legion
Royal Canadian Legion, 7 West Street. Breakfast includes: Eggs, Ham, Bacon or Sausage, Pancakes, Toast, Tea or Coffee.
Cost: $6.50 with button, $7.50 without.
8 am to 10 am - Carnival Breakfast
First United Church Lecture Hall, 19 Park Street. Cost: $6.00 per person. Sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, juice, tea/coffee. Sponsored by the First United Church Men's Club.
10 am - Carnival Snowmobile Ride
Western Sno-Riders, Rugged Edge along with NLSF will guide families along the beautiful groomed trails with a boil-up in the woods. Gather 10am at Rugged Edge at 8 Lundrigan Drive and we will return by 3pm. We will take breaks along the way at warming shacks. Hot dogs will be provided for lunch but feel free to bring along snacks and warm drinks for the ride. Your snowmobile must have a trail pass. Contact Sno-Riders at 639-7762 and leave your name and number to pre-register.
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - The Star's Snow-Go
The Western Star introduces Snow-Go on the Majestic Lawn. This inaugural event will feature a snowshoe obstacle course designed to test the mettle and minds of all participants, young and old alike. Friends and families are encouraged to enter this fun competition. Spectators come out to cheer or jeer. There will be team prizes and hot chocolate and cookies to whet the cravings of our featured "athletes" and spectators alike. Bring your snowshoes and register at the Majestic Lawn by 12:30. Games begin at 1 p.m.
2:30 to 3:30 pm - Family Skating
At the Main Rink, Pepsi Centre. Admission: Free! Be a hero and take your kids and their friends for an hour of fun. The Corner Brook Winter Carnival committee is pleased to bring you free ice time.
6:00 pm - Hot Roast Beef Supper
(Take out 5:00 pm; Sit down 6:00 pm) St. John the Evangelist Church Hall. Cost: $10 .00 per person. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Parish Office at 634-2373.
7:30 pm - Old Fashion Concert
St. Michael's Church, Park Drive. Cost: $7.00 per person. Lots of music and skits. Come enjoy some great skits and music in our old fashion concert. Fudge will also be sold. Sponsored by St. Michael's ACW.
8 pm - Jam the Night Away
At the Corner Brook Arts & Culture Centre. LIVE at the A&C with our young rising stars. Be part of a 'LIVE" studio audience as we record the best take of our young musicians. Start time: 8:00 p.m. Tickets $13/Adults and $10/Students. Call the box office for more information.
8 pm - Old Fashioned Kitchen Party
Royal Canadian Legion, West Street. Cost: $5.00 per person. Come out and enjoy some good old Newfoundland music, and join in the silent and live auction. For Tickets call: 634-3695, tickets can also be purchased at the door. Sponsored by the Humber East PC Association.
9:00 pm - Carnival Concert
Grab a few friends and make a night of it at Marble Mountain on Saturday, February 25, presented by Atlantic Lottery. Celebrate and get your groove on to the tunes of local favourites, the Mixed Tapes and Three of a Kind (check website for details - www.cornerbrookwintercarnival.com)and you'll also be helping out a great cause. Members of the Corner Brook Rotary Club are organizing the event and will donate all proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House. Doors open at 9 pm. Cost is $10 per ticket. No skis required-bring your dancing shoes instead! (19 + event)
