Super Demo Days
This is your chance to take the latest ski and snowboard gear out for a test run where it matters most... on the snow! For three consecutive days, Marble Mountain will host reps from Burton, Head, Rossignol, Salomon and Magine, a local snowboard manufacturer. Demos are free, but most suppliers will require a credit card before they let you take the gear out on the mountain.

VON BBQ at Cook's Quest
Cpl Pinksen Memorial Drive. Available for sale will be hamburgers or hot dogs with a pop. This will be a fundraiser for the VON to help with their charitable programs, i.e., adult day program, meals on wheels, etc. Hope to see you there!

2nd Annual Cook's Quest
12:00pm sign in, 1:00pm race start. This new and exciting 2 person bobsled race will take place on Cpl Pinksen Memorial Drive. Registration deadline is Feb 15th, 2012. Registration form and complete rules are available at www.cornerbrookwintercarnival.ca. Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place teams and prizes for the most creative bobsled. Special Sponsors: City of Corner Brook, Rugged Edge and Greenwood Inn and Suites.

Liefling Gala
Humber Elementary. The gala is open to all Corner Brook School Children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The judges will be looking for a spirited girl or boy who loves winter, people and most of all Winter Carnival. To enter, all you need to do is make a sword, a shield and a simple costume. This year's Leifling will receive a gift certificate (courtesy of Way's Transport), a special "Leifling Fur Vest" and a very special family dinner at Jungle Jim's accompanied by Leif the Lucky.
