Flag Raising and Lighting of the Carnival Torch at the Old City Hall
Join the Carnival Committee as they officially launch Carnival 2012 with the flag raising and lighting of the torch at the old City Hall. There will be singing, hot chocolate and plenty of fun.

6:30 pm
Corner Brook Stream Trail Torch Relay. Entrance at the Old City Hall
Join in the fun and adventure! Walk with our Committee Chair and special guests as they carry the Carnival Torch from the Old City Hall through the Corner Brook Stream Trail to Margaret Bowater Park. There will be flashlights for the children to help light the way.

7:00pm
Opening Ceremonies - Party in the Park
Margaret Bowater Park, O'Connell Dr. Come celebrate Leif's Night of Music and Magic. Join in the excitement as Leif the Lucky emerges from his hut to begin the 10 days of Carnival 2012. Come enjoy the outdoor entertainment, fireworks, give aways, and snacks provided free of charge. Special thanks once again to the Bell Aliant Pioneers for serving the hot chocolate. Enter to win the prizes hidden in Leif's Treasure Chest - open to kids up to the age of 18 - must be in attendance to win.
